I’m not going to rain on your optimism here but I’m going to be pretty honest. You MAY be able to do some magazine modeling, however being a random model for some advertisements won’t make you famous enough to go to clubs to hang out with celebrities.
Also your height does pose problems for some magazines. Some modeling agencies won’t even look at anyone who’s minimum height isn’t 5’8-5’9. This goes for other things BESIDES runway as well. My friend is GORGEOUS and got turned away from Abercrombie magazine because she is 5’7. They told her “Don’t bother coming in, you’re too short.”
Also, modeling agencies these days aren’t looking for “stick thin.” 90 pounds is very small.
I think before you move anywhere you need to do the training, hire a photographer and start setting up a portfolio. Take lots of shots and then get an agent to represent you.
I live in NYC and there are over 8 MILLION people on this tiny island. The odds of you getting “noticed” or “pulled out of the crowd” by someone are fairly slim.
Being a successful model means having “that look.” It’s nothing I can explain it’s just something scouters see in a person. It could be face shape, eyes, lips, any number of things. There are SO many people trying to be models because everyone thinks they have “the look.” There is much competition, and most of the time it’s not fun. It’s work.
By your question, I also can’t tell if YOU want to model, or if society is making it seem cool and your friends and family are pushing it. The way your question sounds, it seems like all you want to do is be famous and party with celebrities. If this is the ONLY reason you want to model, I’d advise against it.
Modeling is not just partying with celebs and being rich and famous and appearing in magazines. It’s A LOT of hard work and a lot of people can’t handle it and wind up in self destructing situations and participating in self destructing behaviors.
If you’re really serious though, get some professional training, get a portfolio, an agent and go from there.
